Hardscaping & Patios
Stone is the architecture of the garden — the terraces you'll gather on, the walls that hold the hillside, the path that says "this way." We build it the old way: properly.
Built Below, Beautiful Above
What you can't see is why it lasts
Anyone can lay stone that looks good in June. Ours still looks good after fifteen New England winters — because we obsess over the eight inches you'll never see: excavation, compacted base, drainage and proper pitch. That's why our hardscape warranty is five years, in writing.
- Third-generation master masons on staff — never subbed out
- Full-depth base construction rated for our freeze-thaw cycles
- Natural stone sourced from New England quarries where possible
- Engineering stamps for retaining walls over four feet

Quick Answers
Hardscape questions, answered
Most of our patios run $35–$75 per square foot installed, depending on stone and site access. A typical 400 sq ft bluestone terrace with a sitting wall lands between $25,000–$40,000.
Both, in the right place. Dry-laid flexes with frost and is easily repaired; wet-set on concrete gives a monolithic, formal finish. We'll recommend based on your soil, use and style.
Most patio and wall projects take two to four weeks on site. We give you a written schedule before we start, and your project lead updates you every Friday.
Always. We pull permits, schedule utility mark-outs, and arrange engineering for any wall requiring it. You never deal with the town — that's our job.
